Kisswie Batik Story

Kisswie Batik is established by the 3rd generation of the Hung’s family. The family was engaged in manufacturing and supply of various types of fabrics since 1970s. The Hung’s family started their business as a manufacturer and wholesaler of different types of fabric rolls and ready-cut fabrics, including polyester, cotton, TC and satin. It was located in the south village of China, where there were a lot of factories focusing on supply of fabrics and bedding products.

The old Mr.Hung was a diligent and hard working man who travelled across the whole country to collect textiles and sell printed fabrics. At that time, transportation was not as convenient as nowadays. It took more than a month for a man to arrive at the far east from the south China. Business went very smooth though it costed quite much to operate.

Since 2002, the 2nd generation of the family started to travel overseas and built connections with customers from Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Modern technology was also adopted into fabrics printing. Hung’s fabrics were presented to international customers and turned into batik sarong, kain pelikat and other muslim dress suits. These fabrics are soft, washable and skin-touch. They were continuously sold to cities and area like Johor Baru, Kuala Lumpur and Sabah.

In 2020, the Hung’s family established KISSWIE brand to expand the business and improve brand awareness of their fabrics. Retails and wholesale are now available online through official website, Tiktok, Shopee and Lazada. The company has expanded the business scope and engaged as a key supplier to various batik brand stores in Malaysia and Thailand.

In 2022, KISSWIE established its private owned company in Malaysia to extend business support to local customers. Nowadays, the company has already become a leading supplier of kain batiks, pelikat and tudung bawal in the Malaysia market and it will continuously improve the service and support to customers.
